West Milford Diner in Hewitt

I love the food, the prices are an amazing value for amount if food served. The service for the most part is great. I highly recommend any one of all ages to come here. You can also order food for pick up.

The service was great and the food was cooked perfectly. They have an extensive menu, enough that everyone had almost too many choices. We all ended up with different meals and we all were completely satisfied. We had a French toast platter, eggs and bacon sandwich platter, pancake platter that I think was chocolate and peanut butter and a veggie egg hash type platter. So good!

Our first stop ever, for a late lunch. Very efficient, clean and we got good portions. The prices on the large menu seem fair.

This is the third Sit N' Chat location I've enjoyed. Consistently enjoyable, pleasant service and excellent value.

I ordered the "BBQ Chicken & Ribs" and I have to say it was a large plate that I could share with my hubby and we even ended up taking some of it home. Very good for the price...the taste was delicious as well...definitely will order it again. The staff is also very friendly and polite and that makes it even better!!! I will definitely come back and refer friends and family!!

Nothing outstanding but exceptionally clean and well staffed by quick efficient waitresses.This is the fourth time I’ve eaten at Sit N’ Chat and my Greek salad and spanakopita (spinach pie) were delicious or was I just overly hungry. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and loved the freshly made Greek Salad along with our excellent coffee.I would suggest trying some new recipes in-order to attract more diversified diners who like a bit more spice and enjoy discovering new flavors.The eatery’s in the West Milford area are usually good but a bit mundane.

That is the best burger and fries I have in diner, more over fries is very good, burger cooked as specified , however, decaf coffee is garbage. Service is good, as a diner - best experience I ever have in NJ .. I’ll try their pancakes next time I’m about (fishing in Park)

Huge portions, affordable prices!

Huge portions and the food was good except the potatoes are soggy.The biscuit and gravy is good.

Ordered chicken fried steak with sausage gravy. It had a taste like something was rotted. I asked the waitress to take it away which she did with a smile. Asked if I wanted something else so I ordered a cheese burger deluxe Medium Rare. Guess what? The cheeseburger was cold in the middle and totally blood rare. They took both off the bill and charged me $15 and change for a cup of turkey soup an order of clam strips and a soda. Stay very very far away from this establishment. Made good on the rotten food but overcharged me for what I did have. Total botched job, and then to rip me off. Spend your money else where.............

Huge menu, so there is something for everyone. I found the quesadilla version of the beef gyro to be excellent. Service was good

My first visit was on thanksgiving morning and I had a wonderful breakfast, we all liked it and will definitely come back

Great little place with small town ambience. Very good menu, and fantastic breakfast choices. Fantastic service and friendly staff. Wish place was a bit bigger, so you do get cozy with other people who attend. Nice patio area and the place looks clean and cared for... recommended!

Wow !! The size of these meals were amazing! Not only was the waitress super friendly she provided quick and wonderful service. I HS the strawberry pancakes which were delicious. My nephew had the super cute Mickey Mouse pancake & my sister and father ordered the other two meals which they said were great !! Thank you !!!

We came to this place for lunch. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. The staff members were very polite and we had a fantastic feeling. The food was just great. We loved this spot very much and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Recommended.

Came on New Year's Day and the place was busy and we were so impressed at how fast our food came and it was delicious as always. Waitress was so nice and attentive too.

Management is rude and crude. Been a customer since they opened. Major reason I came so often is a great waitress “Kat”. New manager gets insulted and berates if Kat is requested to be your waitress. Manager refuses Kat to work Fridays, my favorite day to eat out. With this new manager I will not be returning to this diner.

We just had the Mother's Day Special..The Flounder was good, forgot the bread....the Shrimp and Scallops were ok..very heavy, good price ! Thank You..Mother's Day would be good with anything..no cooking......Prob would not buy them again.. but thx...

This is a pretty good old-school diner like I grew up with on Long island in NY. The usual 8-page, laminated, everything-but-the kitchen-sink menu had some surprisingly original choices. Coffee was great, portions were good, and the staff was attentive without hovering. Really popular with the locals.

Great local diner. hubby and I been coming regularly since moving here last yr (almost weekly now). Staff is always friendly and attentive. They have an extensive menu. Servings are HUGE. For breakfast the Texas Benedict is my favorite: meat is sliced thin, is tender and flavorful. They will usually have dinner specials that aren't part of the regular menu and I haven't had anything from the specials that I did not like. Handicap accessible. Gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu for those that need it. Family friendly atmosphere. (P.S. - Bring back the Sweet Thai Chili dinner special, it was too good.)

This place is my favored. I visit a lot of restaurants but here I constantly return again and again. The team is very chummy and the cooking they offer is so good. I never decline to have a nice dinner in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.

A truly mediocre experience. Its like the whole menu was from Restaurant Depot frozen department. Anyone who serves Hungarian Goulash without egg noodles should not be cooking. Service was good. A Mexican grandma would be a step in the right direction.

This once friendly Enjoyable In Town diner is not the same since it's became The Sit n Chat. Omlette is very easy. Was Way over cooked. Table left dirty next to us never cleaned. Been closed for months for indoor dining now that he can have customers outside always has two tables empty because he will not buy umbrellas. Seems like bad business Seems like bad business

It's been awhile since I've been here. New owners. The service was great, food was great. Recommend the French onion soup. If your looking for a quick bite to eat, with affordable prices this place is for you.

This is clearly one of the finest place in the neighborhood. Anytime I come to this place I am awfully happy. They always keep their high level service and the topmost level of cooking they provide. You can never go wrong with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

Don't let the local diner tradition go unnoticed, some gems in the world and if the name didn't make you know it was, just find out for yourself. Get a slice of pie (homemade everyday), try a shake and them go hit the farm or whatever you’re doing up here looking at diner google reviews.

Wonderful service I came with family of 5 plenty of space waitress was very kind I left her $20 tip, manager at the front very welcoming and the portion size of the plates are huge .. great prices all of this food was only $100 . Definite return here thank you so much !! Great business

We sat and we chatted -- and we ate! It was delightful and sweet. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more interesting vegan options on the menu! Nevertheless, the salad I ordered was delicious and so filling I couldn't even finish it!

The service is friendly. The booth style seating provides a comfortable atmosphere to have quality conversation with friends. There are a variety of food options to meet my gluten free needs. The portions are very reasonable and tasty.

This place gives food that has been cooked days ago and reheated it seems , I am very disappointed in the food quality. Only one time was good after that food is dry reheated and stall , 1 ⭐ all depends on day of order so far order 6 times and only once good seemed fresh, disappointed, it usually seems when the young simply there as if they don't care but getting paid

Great dinner; big portions, fresh and delicious food, fast service and great atmosphere. Egg benedicts and hamburger was great. We will definitely go back there.

They surcharge you 3.25% for using a credit card. But eagerly take cash, which is the unsafest thing to do during a pandemic. Will not go back.
